Summer has finally arrive to the Kingdom of Thailand and it seems to be shining very bright!!!

O.K today I would like to review a model that suit for the winter time.

Our Alice Coat is for you on a windy day or any day in the office. It gives a natural touch with the rough texture. Also breathable yet very comfort and warm.

Rough texture but very breathable and give a good natural feeling

It has a deep V neck shawl collar. Looks elegant and formal yet also suits an active day with 3/4 sleeves and large size side pockets.

With a removable wrap tie closure, it is available for both loose or tighten wear.

NAP 11th (Short Summary)

As i wrote in my previous entry this year NAP 11th was a new thing for everyone, both the days on the event and the area.

We were lucky to be in the original Nimanhamin Soi 1 alley. We had a nice booth less luxury than our last year but it much more reflected who we are "Simply in style"

For the participants there were fewer people than we expected. May be because of the extended days during week days or the wider area so the people were spread but it was good on weekends anyway.

The most disappointed thing was the weather. It was extremely hot and it effected our sales in clothes. Our best seller during the fair were jewelery, belts, hats and scarves. I think the heat discourage people from trying on clothes that needs time and patient for the dressing room. Accessories were simply to try where you stand and go.

Also there were events, work shops even fashion shows. The event was much more various than ever.
But to be honest i also missed the little and quited previous NAPs but the new one is also good entertaining wise.

Since i only seldom visit the booth and out booth was quite crowed. I didn't have time to take pictures of other booths. So this is all the pictures i got. Hope you enjoy them.

I just had opportunity to visit our booth at the NAP 11th.

Least people were walking than I expected. May be it's because it is still during the week days.
Hopefully on weekends it will get better.

Some say the organizer over estimated when they decided to held the event for almost a week.
But i think they have calculated that the traffic on week ends will be enough.

Any way the shop and booths are beautifully decorated as always. Here are some pictures of the atmosphere.

เพิ่่งได้มีโอกาศไปบูธของร้านในงาน NAP ครั้งที่ 11 มาครับ บรรยากาศปีนี้ต้องบอกตรงว่าเงียบเหงาไปสักนิดหรือเป็นเพราะว่าผมไปตอนวันทำงานหรือเปล่าก็ไม่รู้

NAP 11th (Nimmanhaemin Art&Design Promenade)

NAP stands for Nammanhaemin Art&Design promenade.

NAP nows enter its 11 year. An event that last long for a decade is quite considering in the Thai social.
We trend to easily buzz for new events while quickly forgetting them.

For NAP it is a legend. Created by a small group of shops mostly owned by artists. Whose studio were located in the Nimmanhaemin soi 1 road. The road was a dead end road and the first ideal was just to make a gartering party for the shops. Just like getting to know each other or breaking the ice.

It was also a time to show off each artist work and creativity, which later on got more and more caught up by outsiders and soon the media.

A decade has pass. Things changes also does NAP. This year it is more commercialize and has expanded to the areas of Thinkpark. A new look and era for NAP has possibly came.

If you a regular visitor of NAP this year will be something you never seen. For the ones who never experience the event this year is a great year an opportunity to see both classic and new aspects of the event.

We will be there. We be seeing the changes and welcoming everyone. Giving a big smile. Hoping that you will like our stuffs, products and ideal. Also the our knock out shop.

A cross continent twin (Mix & Match)

Yesterday Fah our sales at the shop created a very nice mix & match putting together our “Cross back” Top and the “Samuro” pants. They go great together I had to take a photo.

To my surprise after I just updated Fah nice mix & match on facebook a customer couldn’t resist to follow per combination.

Both girls look great in their outfit. So I had to take a photo of this haft a world across twins.

This simply proves that fashion and beauty has no boarders or boundaries.

ที่น่าแปลกใจ คือหลังจากที่เอารูปไปอัพในเฟสบุ๊ค แล้วกลังลงไปชั้นล่างปรากฏว่ามี ลูกค้าคนหนึ่งลองเสื้อผ้าเลียนแบบฟ้าเลย เลยต้องขอถ่ายรูปเป็นที่ระลึกให้กับแฝดคนละฝากโลกนี้

This year we created a set of Postcards, featuring the photo shots taken from last years and thins year fashion set.
ปีนี้เราได้จัดทำโปสการ์ดขึ้นมาชุดหนึ่ง โดยมีรูปแฟชั่นเสื้อผ้าของทางร้านที่ได้ถ่ายไปตั้งแต่ปลายปีก่อนและต้นปีนี้

The ideal of these postcards was to be use as a leaflet and a name card. We place one postcard in every shopping bag our customers carries.
วัตถุประสงค์ของการจัดทำครั้งนี้ คือการใช้เป็นใบปลิวและแทนนามบัตร เราจะใส่โปสการ์ดลงไปในถุงสินค้าที่ลูกค้านำกลับไปเพื่อเป็นที่ระลึก

We also wanted to promote our shop to the local folks in Chiangmai, we distribute them to local guest house, boutique hotels and hip coffee shops. We wanted to increase our local fan base.
ทั้งนี้เรายังพยายามประชาสัมพันธ์ร้านให้เป็นที่รู้จักของคนในเชียงใหม่มากขึ้น เราจึงนำไปฝากวางไว้ที่เกสเฮาส์, โรงแรมเล็ก และร้านกาแฟท้องถิ่น. เพื่อขยายลูกค้าคนเชียงใหม่

The real pleasure was that having to opportunity to talk with various people. To my surprise many were already our fan. It felt so amazing when they told how much they like our work.

Many people have been asking for directions to our shop, to be honest not only is it a bit hard to find, it is also hard to explain. So Here i made a simple map. Hopefully I can make a better one some day soon.

You can either start at Tha-pae road or Prasing Temple. We are in the middle between them. Opposite us is the Chiangmai U hotel.
จะมาจากทาง ถนนท่าแพ หรือ วัดพระสิงห์ก็ได้นะครับ ร้านเราอยู่ประมาณกลางๆพอดี จุดที่สังเกตง่ายที่สุดคือ โรงแรมยู ที่ตั้งอยู่ฝั่งตรงข้ามนะครับ

Some little but important notes. You can only park at our shop on odd numbers date such as 1, 7, 13 etc.
On even numbers date you have to park on the opposite side.

If speaking of “Polo” most people would think of a short arm shirt with some trademark or a big letter on the left chest, comfortable and unisex (even thought it more on the men side)

Actually the polo shirt definition is is a T-shaped shirt with a collar, typically a two- or three-button placket. Which most Thai’s call this as polo neck which is not correct.
A polo neck (UK) or a skivvy (Australia) is a Turtle neck (US) in Thai.

Yesterday Melanie made a surprise visit to us! I was very happy because it has been 3 year since our last meeting, during the years it was the only connection was by email.

This year we are fortunate to get a book at NAP 11th. Due to the expansion and a new management group. The event has cut out many previous exhibitors. I think it will be a new look for the NAP better or worse we will have to wait and see.

One of our customers from the Netherlands just opened a website.
What is very unique about their website is that it sells scarves from all around the world, mostly developing countries.
And some profit from the selling will be donated to the need in origin country of the scarves.

Today I tried taken a photo with attached GPS coordinates intending to post it on the website for those with GPS devices but after checking in Google map the coordinates missed the target for around 100 meters.

วันนี้ลงถ่ายภาพจากมือถืแบบติดพิกัดดาวเทียมลงไปด้วย โดยหวังว่าจะเอามาโพสต์ไว้ในเว๊ปเผื่อผู้ที่จะมาเยี่ยมร้าน หากมีเครื่องบอกพิกัดดาวเทียมก็จำหาร้านได้ง่ายขึ้น แต่หลังจากตรวจสอบใน GoogleMap แล้วปรากฎว่า พิกัดคลาดเคลื่อนไปสัก 100 เมตรเห็นจะได้ :(

Disappointed but how could you ask for pin point accuracy from a GPS mobile phone in the first place.

ออกจะเศร้าแต่อย่างว่า ใครกันที่ให้ไปฝากความคาดหวังเรื่องความแม่นยำจากเครื่องบอกพิกัดที่ติดแถมมากับมือถือ

Anyway after checking the coordinates in GoogleMap here should be our shop's GPS coordinate.

New Shop sign

On Thursday Pee Aop men came by to install a new sign for our shop.
It is our new logo. The sign was placed above the entrance door. Very big from my ideal.
So now you won't miss our shop!!!

วันพฤหัสบดีที่ผ่านมานี้ พี่อ๊อฟได้ส่งคนมาติดป้ายที่หน้าร้าน เป็นแบบโลโก้ใหม่ สีเขียวสดใส เหมาะกับร้านมากๆ
ความตามคิดส่วนตัวแล้วมันใหญ่มากเลย จึงรับรองได้ว่าจะไม่มีคนที่หาร้านเราไม่เจอแล้ว
สวยจัง เพิ่งรู้ว่าเขียวทองก็ไปกันได้ ว่างๆแวะมาเยียมที่ร้านนะครับ

Last time she was doing an embroider pattern. I just learn the you have to use special carbon paper and pen to create the patterns on the fabric. But what amazed me more was Pee Koy artistic drawing and touch. Since her real background was in petro polymer science since when she acquire this talent.
ครั้งล่าสุดนี้ พี่ก้อยเค้าร่างแบบลายปัก. ผมเพิ่งรู้ว่าการร่างรายปักนั้นต้องใช้ทั้งกระดาษก๊อปปี้และปากกาชนิดพิเศษ แต่สิ่งที่ผมตกใจนิดๆคิดฝีมือกาการวาดรูปของพี่เค้า พี่เค้าวาดได้สวยมาก ไม่นึกว่าคนที่จบเคมีอุตสาหกรรมจะวาดรูปศิลป์ๆได้ขนาดนี้

Old customer and webcam

Yesterday one of our very very old customer (old here means a long time ago not her age) had a webcam conversation with us.

เมื่อวานได้ทำการสนทนากับลูกค้าเก่าแก่คนหนึ่ง (เก่าแก่ในที่นี้หมายถึงว่า เค้าเคยซื้อเราไปนานแล้ว)

She wanted to show her old dress to ask if we still do it or not. Sadly it was a very old model that were one of the firsts. We couldn’t remember even were the pattern is right now. Our customer was a little dissapointed but we promise to show here more new models.

ลูกค้าคนนี้อาจจะให้เราดูแบบเสื้อที่เธอเคยซื้อไปเมื่อหลายๆปีก่อน แต่ปรากฎว่ามันเป็นแบบที่เราเลิกทำไปนานแล้ว แบบเก่ามากๆ เป็นแบบแรกๆของร้านเลย ตอนนี้แค่นึกว่าเราเก็บแพทเทิ้ลไว้ไหนก็ยากแล้ว ลูกค้าเราก็ผิดหวังไปเล็กน้อย แต่ทางเราก็บอกว่าจะส่งแบบใหม่ๆไปให้ดู

Today I had the opportunity to visit one of our customers. Who is a big E-commerce seller in the United States. For those fans of Julia Robert you would be seeing Arlene Thur acting as “Armenia” the Founder of ”Novica” in her new coming film “Eat, Pray, Love”

As you might Know “Eat, Pray, Love” is a book about ” Elizabeth Gibert’s life, after a Strom of troubles Elizabeth escapade to Italy for a language course, there she found that there are good food outside the US. (EAT) after satisfying her appetite, she went to India to fulfill her soul (Prayer) in the end she went to untie herself at Bali, befriend with “Armenai” and when joining Novica’s thank you party for artist she found (LOVE).
